Feb 2012 - Journey of the Spirit - Love Your SELF ritual Clann C will be performing this ritual at EBN Too in GBO on Valentine's Day 2012. The rite is designed to allow each person to reconnect with the love & honnor of Self. Mar 31, 2012 - Bowl for Kids Sake. See below for details. PAST CHARITABLE EFFORTS Bowl for Kids Sake Clann C has been participating in this Big Brother Big Sisters fundraiser in High Point, NC since 2009. We have raised to date over $1300.00. Dec 2010 & 2011 - Christmas Cheer Clann C has helped shop with underpriviledged children through Target with the W/S Jaycees, then wrapping the chosen gifts so these children have presents for Christmas Strawberry Cheesecake for the Cure In Oct 2009 RavenHarte created Cabaret for the Cure, as a Passionately Pink for the Cure fundraising team for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. RavenHarte was the Organizer of the fundraising effort and produced the “Strawberry Cheesecake for the Cure” burlesque & bellydance event, which was our main fundraising effort. This show generated $1500.00 in ticket proceeds for Passionately Pink and another $510.00 in raffle and merchandise proceeds went to the NC Triad Affiliate of Susan G Komen for the Cure. In 2010 Cabaret for the Cure held 2 Strawberry Cheesecake events and an online auction raising a total of $2559.00 which was evenly split between the same 2 organizations. In 2011, RavenHarte disconnected Cabaret for the Cure from Susan G Komen Foundations due to the restrictions they enacted on Passionately Pink teams. Cabaret for the Cure became an independant grassroots fundraising organization at that time, concentrating all efforts on a single event to raise funds for the Save the Tatas foundation. We achieved a total of $2200.00 for them. Race for the Cure In May 2009 our HPS RavenHarte, her husband and their family participated in the Race for the Cure at Salem College in W/S, and with a couple of friends raised $657.00 OTHER PAST CHARITABLE EFFORTS Organizations Clann Caladvwlch has served & supported over the years: Family Services – As V-Day Winston-Salem 2005 – 2007 3 of our coven also worked for Family Services as employees or volunteers Safe on Seven – as V-Day Winston-Salem 2008 Habitat for Humanity The Big Sweep Winston-Salem Samartian Ministries Second Harvest - Food Bank of NC Carolina Raptor Center The Great American Cleanup Greensboro RECENT PAST SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY EFFORTS PAGAN PRIDE DAY In 2011, Clann C performed the Sunday Opening Ritual, blessing the day with new friends, information, and fellowship. In 2010, Clann C performed the Saturday evening Closing Ritual and tree blessing for the Central NC PPD festivites in Raleigh. 4 members also performed Reiki sessions all day as part of The Okuden. In 2007, Clann C performed the Opening Ritual for the Central NC PPD festivities in Raleigh. RavenHarte also hosted workshops for Central NC PPD in 2008 & 2007, and for Savannah PPD in 2005 . JOURNEY OF THE SPIRIT In August 2011, Clann C hosted "The Chocolate Ritual" at EBN Too in Greesnboro for the Journey of the Spirit lecture series. In 2009, RavenHarte hosted 2 separate lectures; one on Paganism/Wicca, and one on Kabbalah/Qabala. POTMC From its first Harvest Home festival in 1997, RavenHarte and/or the members of Clann C have done numerous fundraising events to assist with the rental costs for the space, as well as hosted many rituals or workshops during that time. BO ON THE GO PODSHOW RavenHarte was honored to be interviewed in Nov 2009 by Sam Thompson for the Bo On The Go Podshow on the Western Mystery tradition and her spiritual path. NIGHTSIDE EVENTS In 2009, RavenHarte was invited to participate as one of four priests who wrote & helped perform the closing ritual at the House Kheperu conference in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2008, Clann Caladvwlch participated in the Twilight II vampiric conference in Atlanta, GA where the Elders of Clann C hosted a discussion on the need for tolerance & communication between all Nightside communities. |
